My mothers ailing health took me by complete surprise. Her once stable medical status took A nosedive in November 2005 and continued its downward spiral, ending at the skilled nursing Facility. As a nurse, I was well aware that this day would eventually come, but I wasnt as prepared For it as Id assumed. The time had come to make the dreaded decision for Mom to place her in a Safer environment. As a Case Manager, I had all the information at my fingertips, but there I sat, struggling with this, as so often the families of my patients do. I was paralyzed, frightened and pressed for time to make this decision and do the right thing. My saving grace and gift from God was the phone call I received from Susan and Rick Peterson from Senior Living Options of the desert. What can we do to help you, Erin?, were the sweetest words Id ever heard and the most welcomed. I could tell from the beginning of our conversation that these two wonderful people were the best in their field. Oh, Id called a few others for assistance, but all I received was a recording to leave my name and number, but never got a return call. The expertise they convey are prominent in their communi- cation and their actions. Always there, always pleasant, available anytime I called. I had no reserva- tions in entrusting them with my mothers future.I thank God every day for the quick, efficient and professional manner in which they conducted their search for the exact appropriate home for Mom. They did all the legwork, investigated every inch of each home and made all the phone calls to each facility. I did not have the time and never would have been able to do what they so painstakingly do on a daily basis.I was relieved and calm for the first time in months.I can honestly say, nobody else Ive dealt with in this particular profession have taken the extra time and measures to exceed the expected norm as Rick and Susan do. They are an asset to the valleys elder care profession. As a long-term health professional, it is my honor, pleasure and privilege to continue to recommend their services to friends, family and the patient population I serve in my workplace. I owe them more than words can ever say. More than just a simple, Thanks. These exceptional angels from above will always have a place in my heart,as well as Moms
Sincerely,
Erin J. Davis, R.N.
